Beautiful Fall Night Sky

Last night's sky was beautiful, with the quarter moon and soft pink clouds visible through the now bare trees...a very peaceful scene...

...which brought a welcome sense of "all is well" as we helped our friend and neighbor Janice bury one of her dogs...she told me she noticed that he seemed to be slowing down over the past couple weeks (he was old), but yesterday morning he woke quite ill and when examined by the vet, it was discovered his lungs were infested with cancer.  The only thing to do was put him down.  Several of us helped her dig his grave, and I brought a candle to put at his head stone.  It's sad to say goodbye to one of the dogs that runs around the mountain, he was a sweet golden boy and part of the family up here.  RIP Sparky.

Thanks for reading my blog, you are the best f/f/r/s/f's, see you tomorrow,
Lise

Beautiful sky. I've noticed how pretty the sky is this year. i hate to hear about your neighbor's dog. I know it's sad but it had to be done. We had to do that to my dad's old dog. Hugs,xo

Hi Lise,
Sad to have to put a dog down. I've had to do it a couple of times and I grieved for months. It was great seeing you at City Lights. Hope you enjoyed the afternoon as I did.
Love your blog.

Thanks Susie, it's a great time of year for beautiful sunsets! And thanks for your thought about Sparky, even though he wasn't our dog, he was part of our mountain's dog family!

It was great to see you too Glenda, I enjoyed the afternoon and look forward to future opportunities. Thanks for you thoughts on Sparky too.

Losing a pet is very traumatic...they do become part of our lives and loves! My pet sympathy goes out to Janice. Hugs!
