Our Thanksgiving Holiday Trip

We began our Thanksgiving holiday road trip today...together!  Woo hoo (I didn't drive the whole way by myself, not that I mind that, but a second driver is a real plus)!  The garden doesn't need tending, the leaves have all changed and fallen, we experienced our first snow...we aren't missing anything...what better time for a little get away?!
So here we are, on the river...dusk was already falling when we were sitting on the dock, but I did capture these ducks moseying along...yes, they resemble us in a way..

We are already enjoying this trip for many reasons...
  •  I am going to be watching Liam while Jessi heads up north to visit a long time friend; I am so excited about doing all the daily routines with just him and me, I can't wait...you know you will hear all about it
  • We are looking forward to the opportunity to gather with family to celebrate Thanksgiving together...you know you will hear all about it
  • We have friends we will be visiting with throughout, you know you will hear all about it
  • We can accomplish some tasks around the house (seems like we shouldn't be looking forward to this work but we are), you know you will hear all about it
  • Mountain Man says he is looking forward to having some time where we are not loading and transporting logs and he is not chopping wood (I second that), not much more to tell about that
  • We are at the river house, always a pleasure...you know you will hear all about it
I'm looking forward to sharing these adventures with you!  While it's a departure from my Log Cabin Life, it is my life, which makes it part of my Log Cabin Life:) Life is good!

Thanks for reading my blog, you are the best f/f/r/s/f's, see you tomorrow,
Lise

You are right...it is you and Mountain Man, or River Man, floating on the river. Hugs!
