Our Rustic Deck Railing is Done!

Well, it's pretty much done anyway.  We're reserving the right (ha ha, like someone is going to question us) to add a few decorative rhododendron limbs here and there as we find perfect pieces that add just the right touch (the structure is now safe and sound).  For now, we are going to enjoy sharing our masterpiece this evening with our new friend Sharon who is staying at her cabin just up the mountain...interestingly, she lives in the same county in FL where we have our river place...the 4th cabin owner here from the same area...must be something calling to all of us from this mountain...we'll have a fire in the pit on this sure-to-be chilly night (looks like its going to be the coldest night of the summer...fall is definitely on its way!), my Venison Beer Stew, and a warm crispy loaf of bread...sounds like heaven...

This is my Venison Beer Stew, simmering on the stove...I'll share the recipe tomorrow (here's hoping it's delicious, I'm being a little creative tonight)...
...it still need to thicken but it sure smells good!  I think the Guinness beer and new combination of spices might make it a winner:)

Thanks for reading my blog, you are the best f/f/r/s/f's, see you tomorrow,
Lise

I love that railing. You all did a great job on it and that stew just made me hungry.. Yes it is cool for sure. We'll have to add a blanket tonight but I love these cool, autumn nights.. It's my favorite Season. So honored to have you as a friend as well. Hope you have a nice weekend.

The blacksmith would say its gotta be good with Guinness beer. I will look forward to the recipe.

As expected your railing is awesome. It looks so inviting, I'll bring the wine.
