Our life living off the land in our log cabin, breathing fresh mountain air, and getting back to basics.

It's A Wrap!

My mountains have been calling me, and though my time at the river has been wonderful, visiting with family and friends, I am ready to head back.  I've been graced with a lovely day today...

Sunrise with dolphins (a mama and baby) passing by as they meander down the river...

An Osprey sailing away from his perch on a tall, tree stump...

A much anticipated visit with special friends here on the river (not giving their names, respecting their privacy).  It was an extra special visit.  I haven't been able to see him since he became ill, and we needed to find a time that would work out best for him...I was afraid I might not be able to see him this time around.  But we did have a wonderful visit, short as it may have been; he is a real trooper and she keeps the days bright, both bravely taking everything one day at a time.  I will continue to hold healing thoughts for both of them, and keep the mountain hug vibes racing through the air.  I must admit, their situation is another reminder of how very precious life is and how grateful I am to be able to be living my log cabin life.

I also have been packing, confirming house sitter and yard arrangements, cleaning...so much to do in what seems like so little time left.  But I am SO anxious to get on the road so I can be back at the cabin breathing my mountain air and seeing how my garden has grown!  Mountain Man told me it was 55 this morning...woo hoo, looking forward to that cool air too!

Thanks for reading my blog, you are the best f/f/r/s/f's, see you tomorrow,
Lise

Sounds like your visit to FL was energizing for you and continues to support your decision to spend the year at the cabin! Love the photos of the wildlife and the river. Big hugs!
