Today is Liam's Birthday!

When I woke up this morning, Liam gave me a giant hug and said "I love you Mémère". (Mémère is French for grandma.)  He said it so sweet and lovingly, this child makes me melt.  Of course, I said I love you too, and asked him if he remembered what today was, and he shyly said, "my birthday" and smiled.  Then I gave him a big hug and he told me "I like small hugs".  Funny.

We went out to his favorite breakfast spot, Dunkin Donuts.  He had a bagel and cream cheese, 6 chocolate glazed donut holes, and chocolate milk.  He ate almost everything, except for 3 bites of his bagel that he shared with me!  As we discussed his birthday breakfast, he proudly showed me he was four.
Then he played games with me about his chocolate donuts, saying there were none left, and then 'ta da', there they were!  The child has a great sense of humor!

We then went to lunch with a group of my friends (Brian, Upendo, Debbie, Donna, Bev, & sorry I don't recall the one gentleman's name who I had not met before) from when we used to work together at a local nonprofit.  It was a fantastic time, so great to see everyone!  Liam took a real liking to Brian, who spent much of his lunch entertaining:)
When we were leaving, Liam wanted to look at the birds.  As we stood there, the big bird squawked loudly, and startled both of us.  But Liam was fascinated!

This is his grin as we talked about the birds once we got in the car:)

Later, he told me to stop taking pictures of him, LOL!  I told him I couldn't help it, I was his Mémère!

Now, we are waiting for mommy to come home from work so we can have more birthday celebration!  And tomorrow, birthday party!!!

I love this little soul, he is so special and joy-filled!

Thanks for reading my blog, you are the best f/f/r/s/f's, see you tomorrow,
