Our life living off the land in our log cabin, breathing fresh mountain air, and getting back to basics.

Keeping it Simple

Today has been another scorcher...96 degrees and we have an air quality alert.  Even the mountains are surrounded by a veil of haze that looks hot!  But when I see the temps in other places, my perspective changes and I am glad that I am where I am!

We have spent our day keeping it simple & conserving energy...not electrical, the fans are whirring as fast as they will go, but physically.

We walked slowly to the gardens and watered.

We watched as Robert tried to finish the deck prep stump removal project, but the soil is still too moist...amazing.  I will post the pictures of the final steps when the final day occurs!  Though frustrating, all we can do is try again another day...so we watched him leave.

I spoke with some family and friends.

I sat on the porch swing.

Mountain Man played on his computer.

I meandered around and took some pictures.

Tiger Lily...I love this shot, it somehow reflects how this day feels for me, maybe the colors, maybe the lines...

I'm going to go rock in my rocker and look at the mountains now.  I think a tiny breeze is starting, I just heard a chime...

Keeping it simple!

Thanks for reading my blog, you are the best f/f/r/s/f's, see you tomorrow,
Lise

I'm glad...can't think of anything about it that says "are you crazy" to me, but sure wish I could! Hugs to you and Donald:)

Thanks so much Dale! I love my Nikon, but have to give credit to nature, it does most of the work, I just admire and snap:)
