Our Rustic Address Sign

This is our new address sign, designed and built by my Mountain Man. I think it's awesome! The pole and beam are locust and we found the two green pieces floating near our dock in FL...no, they weren't green when we found them, we painted them.
This is my little touch, a crystal hanging in the 'C' shaped area. I'm going to find a small chime with a bigger crystal to replace this, but it works for now, sparkling with little flashes of light when the wind blows.
I didn't get pictures of the whole process...its been in the works for two years. But here is the detail of the backside of post and beam connection...

...a relatively simple design.

This is the old sign. We both took great pleasure in removing it!

This is much better, don't you agree?

Thanks for reading my blog, see you tomorrow,
Lise

Congratulations...Mountain Man changed the signs from a commercial/tacky style to a natural appealing style. Hugs!
