It snowed on my way to class yesterday. Not a lot, but enough to shroud the sky with white powder and leave snow dust whipping around the highway as cars zipped past. It lasted for a short fifteen minutes--long enough for me to get what I would expect is my last snow thrill for the year.
The temperature dipped into the 20's overnight, threatening everything that has started to bud or bloom. I'm hoping the duration of the freeze was short enough that no damage was done. It never occurred to me that I should bring the hummingbird feeder in; this morning it was a block of ice and even the condensation has frozen into little bubbles.
I was thrilled to see my first hummingbird return a couple days ago; I'm
watching the feeders to get some good pictures for you...stay tuned.
Thanks for reading my blog, see you tomorrow,
