At A Trout Pond

I had the opportunity to feed some rainbow trout in a small pond today.  It was mesmerizing.

This is the reflection of the trees in the pond; my favorite picture of the day!

The battle to the top...

Fish 'n reflections...

Rainbow Trout, swimming about...

More racing to the top, but you see the trout in the top left center of the pic?  Just breaking the surface!

Bubbles surfacing...

Burbles on the surface, trout beneath...

I've found this day to be so relaxing.  Even though I squeezed a bunch of Meyers lemons (from our tree at the river house) into juice to be frozen into ice cubes for future use.  Even though I mashed 4 more bananas and made Banana granola cookies (they are super delicious except I added extra bananas which resulted in cakies instead of cookies, lesson learned; I may actually make some kind of filling and then put it between two of the cakies and either freeze them or put them in the fridge to make an ice cakies sandwich kind of thing...only tomorrow will tell).

But watching and feeding the trout was a treat and a joy.  Life in the mountains is good!

Thanks for reading my blog, you are the best f/f/r/s/f's, see you tomorrow,
Lise
