The Moon and Venus

There was snow on the ground as I drove away from the cabin early this morning, heading to our river place. The moon and Venus shone in the early dusk hours, distracting me a bit from my travels...

...causing me to stop more frequently than I usually would. But it was worth it.

Thanks for reading my blog, see you tomorrow,
Lise

Beautiful. I love clear night skies. Every time I got out on our front deck at night I can't resist going a bit farther to look up and enjoy. It is so dark up the lake that we get great night sky viewing (when there aren't any clouds that is). - Margy

Great moon shots. I wish I could take those kinds of pictures. My moon shots are never good.

Hope your trip was as bright and calm as your moon/venus photos. I'm back in FL now and can visit you daily again. Hugs!

I know what you mean Margy, it's the same way at the cabin. There's lots of lights here on the river, but the night sky is still beautiful, you just don't see as many stars.

Thanks Glenda. I have to use a tripod or some other something to steady the camera--I used the car door for these.

Thanks Dad. I'm glad you had a safe trip and are finally home!

Thanks Vicki, we had a wonderful time.
