Easter Sunday 2012

Today we woke to a beautiful sunrise; a gentle brightening of the distant mountain skyline, while the trees in the near distance had yet to be touched by the mornings sun...nothing majestic, yet breathtaking in it's simplicity.
It has been a simple day...hanging clothes on the line to dry, feeling the cool breeze as I did so...speaking by phone with family and friends...an afternoon of solitude while Johny went morel mushroom hunting...preparing a simple vegetable based pasta dinner...an unexpected visit by a nearby local mountain friend...all easy flowing activities throughout the day.

Today is the 3 month anniversary of my brother Marc's passing, it is a reminder of how precious life is. I feel incredible gratitude for the life I have been gifted with living, and am enjoying every minute.

Thank you for your interest in my blog...please feel free to share any special thoughts of gratitude that you have today!

Thank you for visiting my blog, and leaving a comment.
My heart aches for you and the loss of your brother. We never know when we might have such a loss and I'm glad you and your husband are taking this time to experience a new adventure, living off the land in the mountains.
I enjoy reading what you are doing.
