Simple Absence of Color

I've been noticing how many flowers we have blooming now that are primarily white (I've heard tell that white pigment is the absence of all color).  One of the most wonderful things about white flowers is any other color associated with that bloom seem vibrant and stand out.  I also find white flowers to be soothing and joyful, so I'll share a few with you today...

The Rhododendron, a beautiful flower with various blossom colors (in late April we had a deep rose one bloom)...our woods are now full of white and pink ones, and though they are very similar, the coloring of each is just a little different.  Here are is a selection for your enjoyment...

We also have patches of daisy's, such a cheerful flower...

I hope you have enjoyed the white theme today, and these flowers put a smile on your face.
Thanks for reading my blog, you are the best f/f/r/s/f's, see you tomorrow,
Lise
